The Table

October 27th

An original musical, The Table had its first reading here at NCP. This time, our staged reading will take the work to a more refined state. Come and be a part of the creative process and join us!

Philip Daniel

November 10th

Originating from Lincoln, Nebraska, Daniel is a distinguished pianist and composer, acclaimed for his ability to evoke powerful emotions through his music. He holds a graduate degree in Piano Performance from the UMKC Conservatory and an undergraduate degree in Piano Performance and Piano Pedagogy from Hastings College.

He has cultivated a unique musical voice that gracefully merges classical elements, minimalist soundscapes, and cinematic qualities. His main vehicle is the piano, merged with electronics and his concerts feature live looping using synths/percussion/piano and more. Daniel’s compositions resonate with both seasoned musicians and casual listeners, creating a profound impact on a diverse audience.

Elf: The Musical

December 1 – 3 & 7 – 10, 2023

Buddy, a young orphan, mistakenly crawls into Santa’s bag of gifts and is transported to the North Pole. The would-be elf is raised, unaware that he is actually a human until his enormous size and poor toy-making abilities cause him to face the truth. With Santa’s permission, Buddy embarks on a journey to New York City to find his birth father and discover his true identity.

About NCP

The Nebraska Communities Playhouse (NCP), a 501(c)(3), strives to enhance the quality of life in the southeast Nebraska communities that it serves. NCP provides quality theatrical and other performing arts experiences to local audiences as well as attracting patrons from across Nebraska and the greater Midwest. It is the mission of the playhouse to train, educate and collaborate with performers, directors, technicians, artisans and other community volunteers, providing an opportunity for them to demonstrate and improve their skills by participating in live, on-stage productions. The Nebraska Communities Playhouse believes that all people, regardless of age, income or ability, should have access to affordable, quality theatrical entertainment.
