About Us

NCP | A Place for Everyone To Enjoy the Arts.

The Nebraska Communities Playhouse (NCP), a 501(c)(3) strives to enhance the quality of life in the southeast Nebraska communities that it serves. NCP provides quality theatrical and other performing arts experiences to local audiences as well as attracting patrons from across Nebraska and the greater Midwest.

It is the mission of the playhouse to train, educate and collaborate with performers, directors, technicians, artisans and other community volunteers, providing an opportunity for them to demonstrate and improve their skills by participating in live, on-stage productions. The Nebraska Communities Playhouse believes that all people, regardless of age, income or ability, should have access to affordable, quality theatrical entertainment. NCP is a place for all people to enjoy the arts.

Community

The Nebraska Communities Playhouse not only serves Hickman, but also Roca, Firth, Panama, Cortland, Princeton, Holland, Cheney, Hallam, Adams, Sprague, Martell and Bennet. Due to our close proximity to Lincoln, we also support the state’s capital as it continues its southward growth.

Supporting over 430 square miles, including southern Lancaster, northern Gage, eastern Seward and western Johnson counties in Nebraska, NCP is dedicated to its mission of providing theatre-focused educational and performance opportunities to the communities we serve.

Education

At the very core of NCPs foundation is EDUCATION. We believe in the training, education and collaboration with performers, directors, technicians and other community volunteers, providing an opportunity for them to demonstrate and improve their skills by participating in live on-stage productions and other performing arts experiences.

We are proud to be The Nebraska Communities Playhouse – a place for everyone to enjoy the arts.
